this teachers blog has a really good post about communicating with parents. She discusses some ways that teachers can help get the students more involved. One idea is having students write a weekly letter to their parents about what has been going on in school this week.

This video would be good to introduce a unit on the states and their geography and capitals. It also show the different regions of the U.S. and show pictures/videos which will get  the students interested.

Science Notebooking Blog

This blog I found from a teacher who does science notebooking was very cool. It is something that I have never heard of before but sounds like a very interesting idea to put into science lessons and class. I would love to use this idea of science notebooking in my classroom. From the pictures it looks like the students really enjoy doing it.

This game would be very useful when kids are learning about money and the different combinations of coins that can be used to make different amounts.
